Representatives of Izolyatsia, namely Victoria Ivanova and Anna Medvedeva, participated in the 72nd Trans Europe Halles (TEH) meeting in the end of October. This network gather more than fifty independent cultural centres, located in former industrial zones.
From 27th till 30th October, 2011 the closed TNT – Manufacture de Chaussures in in Bordeaux, south-western part of France, became a place for discussions and exchange of ideas. During the meetings and master classes, the participants analysed partnership possibilities with the help of Engine Room Europe program directed to support cultural centres of the TEH network.
Besides, organizers paid special attention to discussion of collaboration with local communities which could participate in realizing art-projects and implement their creative initiatives on the platform of cultural organizations. One of the most significant was the topic of the stable and independent development of centres, connected with the use of alternative power sources, application of “green office” rules, and implementation of the inside-team economy policy.
The foundation “IZOLYATSIA. Platform for cultural initiatives” is the only Ukrainian cultural centre being a member of the European TEH network. The foundation plans to support and implement ideas, initiatives and projects appearing in the creative medium of this network.
