Communications Manager

IZOLYATSIA. Platform for Cultural Initiatives is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the full-time position of Communications Manager.
Purpose of the role:
The Communications Manager supports project-related external communications and visibility, manages content for online platforms, and ensures consistent, high-quality public representation of IZOLYATSIA’s activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement social media strategies in collaboration with the Communications Director.
- Collaborate with project managers to create and implement detailed content plans for each project.
- Manage IZOLYATSIA communication channels, including social media, website, and newsletters.
- Coordinate with external service providers (designers, illustrators, photographers, videographers).
- Create visual communication materials under approval templates.
- Copywriting, editing and adapting texts from project managers to match IZOLYATSIA’s communication standards, consistent messaging style and branding.
- Develop and maintain media relations, prepare press releases and other communications.
- Organize and participate in communication events, meetings, and seminars.
- Collect, monitor and analyze communication performance metrics.
- Draft and contribute to media reports, including content and relevant analytics for donor reporting.
- Monitor organization inboxes and channels, flagging relevant requests to the management team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in communications, digital content, or social media management.
- Strong understanding of digital platforms (especially social media and websites).
- Excellent writing skills in Ukrainian and English.
- Experience contributing to communication strategy development, collecting metrics regarding established methodology, analyse and evaluate communication’s strategy implementation.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Experience working with accessible and inclusive communication methods.
- Experience working in the cultural or artistic sector is an advantage. Interest in culture, contemporary art, human rights, or social issues is a strong plus.
In relation to the upcoming ZMINA: Resilience project
- Promoting the project and dissemination of its results, ensuring visibility to target audiences in Ukraine and other Creative Europe countries
- Communicating the project's contribution to EU overarching priorities like digital transition, greening efforts, inclusion, gender equality, and international relations
- Collaborating with other organizations (e.g., EU4Culture, House of Europe, European Culture Foundation) to capitalize on their experiences and networks for communication activities
- Utilizing networks like Trans Europe Halles for project communication and dissemination
- Supporting the wide dissemination and communication of the Calls for Proposals
- Promoting events to potential international and Ukrainian project applicants, including capacity building events, calls presentations, program presentations, case studies presentations, lectures by experts, etc.
- Involving artists and cultural professionals from Creative Europe countries to participate in matchmaking sessions and to use ZMINA matchmaking tools
- Supporting subgrantees with information on application rules, platform usage, and communication with the ZMINA team
- Ensuring consistent use of the project's visual identity by the project team and sub-granted projects, including adherence to EU Visibility Guidelines
- Systematic data collection on communication outputs and reach
- Data Collection for relevant Project’s Indicators: Specific attention is given to collecting data from sub-granted projects to measure indicators related to communication and dissemination
- Monitoring of Impact: The project aims to monitor the impact and reach of its communication and dissemination activities, including those of subgrantees
- Contribution to continuous project’s reporting activities
