Art-Wednesday: Oksana Sarzhevska-Kravchenko i-Portunus

July 17, IZOLYATSIA’s director Oksana Sarzhevska-Kravchenko will be holding the Art-Wednesday where she will present the i-Portunus project and tell about the basis of its functioning.

i-Portunus is a project, selected and funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union, which aims to trial a mobility scheme for artists and culture professionals. From April to September 2019, i-Portunus will issue three Calls for Applications, providing support for 350-500 short-term international mobilities for artists active in the fields of the performing or visual arts and residing in a partner-country of the Creative Europe programme. These mobilities must have a specific and well-defined objective, such as: developing international collaborations, engaging in production-oriented residencies or in professional developments, presenting works in another country or developing projects with local communities in the destination country.

Oksana Sarzhevska-Kravchenko - since 2010, has been working with nonprofit nongovernmental foundation IZOLYATSIA on different cultural and social projects and since 2016 - leading IZOLYATSIA as director. For the past 13 years, she has been involved in business which enhanced her expertise in organisational management, fundraising and financial reporting. Since 2018, she has been actively consulting NGOs on administration-related issues and developing a project that advocates citizens and activists towards developers and local authorities. Currently Oksana is a team-member of partner's project i-Portunus.

Art-Wednesday is a project of IZOLYATSIA, which create the most relaxed atmosphere of communication for creative people. The format of the event is determined by the participants themselves: it may be a presentation, an exhibition, a film show, a performance, a lecture and / or a discussion. Art-Wednesday is created in order to provide space for creative people to present various artistic practices, as well as provide an opportunity to share information about current research, ideas and events.
