Art Wednesday: Artist Talk Nikolay Karabinovich Introduction to unknown
On November 20, Ukrainian artist, author of video works, performative and visual practices Nikolai Karabinovich will hold artist talk in the IZONE space. In his lecture, the artist will talk about his practice, recent exhibitions and boomerangs.
Nikolay Karabinovych was born in Odessa (Ukraine), lives and works in Ghent (Belgium) and Kiev. The artist works with a variety of media, including video, sound, text and performance. In 2017, Karabinovych was the curator’s assistant at the 5th Odessa Biennale. In 2018, The Voice of the thin Silence was awarded the first PinchukArtCentre Special Award. From 2019 he is studying at the Higher Institute for Fine Arts (HISK) in Ghent. Featured exhibitions: From Sea to Sea (Hit Gallery, Bratislava), Spring (Summer, Fall, Autumn) of Nations (BWA, Tarnow, Poland), Ain't Nobody's Business (PinchukArtCentre, Kyiv), The Human Condition (Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center, Moscow).
