Russian illegal prison on IZOLYATSIA premises has been operational for 10 years.

On October 8, at 3 pm, IZOLYATSIA presents the book Strong Name Nadiya by Nadiya Savchenko. The presentation will be moderated by Vira Savchenko, Nadiya’s sister.

Nadiya Savchenko has been awarded with Hero of Ukraine title in 2015, but still remains imprisoned on the territory of Russian Federation. She started writing her autobiographical book after 40 days of hunger strike and smuggled the written sheets of paper to her defendants. The book Strong Name Nadiya released by Yustinian publishing house was presented earlier this year at the 22nd Publishers’ Forum in Lviv, where it was hailed as “the discovery of the year”.

The presentation will take place in Mariupol, 132 Budivel’nykiv Street, at the location that currently hosts the exhibitions Tomorrow’s Cities Today: The Power of Urban Visions and AU Pop-Up within the framework of Architecture Ukraine project by IZOLYATSIA.
