Volunteering: Work and Pleasure

Nine volunteers support and enrich the artists-in-residency program, acting as everyday assistans and buddies of our photographers. During this monotonous summer period, there is plenty of variety in the volunteers\' lives: discussions with photographers regarding their projects, organisation of photo-shoots and endless nights submerged in friendly conversation. Simultaneously, it is an excellent opportunity to learn something new and to practice one\'s English, Portuguese, or even Italian. Conclusion: volunteering is great for one\'s self-esteem, personal development and a valuable contribution to one\'s environment.
