IZOLYATSIA presents the works by British photographer Richard Ansett at the exhibition What is Your Name?, opening on December 9 at Mystetskyi Arsenal. As part of the project, on December 10, at 3 PM, Richard Ansett will hold an artist talk, and on December 11, at 3 PM, he will give a masterclass in portrait photography.

Richard Ansett (London, UK) is an award-winning photographer known for his striking images. In 2011, he participated in the Partly Cloudy residency by IZOLYATSIA in Donetsk (curator Boris Mikhailov), during which he created a photographic series titled Mother & Child. Works from this series will be featured in the exhibition What is Your Name?, organised by Mystetskyi Arsenal in cooperation with UNICEF Ukraine and Ukraine’s Ministry for temporarily occupied territories and IDPs. The exhibition, held on December 10-25, 2016, encapsulates a number of projects, from artworks and audio-visual content to VR, film screenings, and theatrical performances, to public lectures and seminars for media. The exhibition is part of a larger campaign, aimed at raising awareness about the issues of the families and children of IDPs in Ukraine.

On Saturday, December 10, at 3 PM, Richard Ansett will hold an artist talk at Mystetskyi Arsenal, showing his recent works and speaking about his current projects. On Sunday, December 11, at 3 PM, IZONE Creative Community will host Richard’s masterclass on portrait photography.

The artist talk by Richard Ansett will be held at Mystetskyi Arsenal, 10-12 Lavrska Street.
The masterclass in portrait photography will take place at IZONE, 8 Naberezhno-Luhova Street.
