Poster exhibition Sonia Delaunay 130

25 February 2016 — 13 March 2016

On February 25, 2016, at 6 pm, IZOLYATSIA opens the poster exhibition Sonia Delaunay 130, celebrating the anniversary of the world famous artist. The exhibition, co-organised by IZOLYATSIA, association of graphic designers 4th Block and GRAFPROM studio, will feature works by contemporary designers from around the globe.

November 14, 2015 marked the 130th anniversary of Sonia Delaunay (1885-1979), a prominent Art Deco artist and designer who was born and spent her childhood in Ukraine. Sonia Delaunay often admitted that her love for bright colours was rooted in the memories of childhood, especially the images of traditional Ukrainian weddings.

In November, association 4th Block announced a poster campaign Sonia Delaunay 130, celebrating the artist’s anniversary and her contribution to the world art and design. Over a month, about 200 posters were received, made by Ukrainian and international designers. The 50 best posters, selected by a special jury, will be exhibited at IZOLYATSIA.

The exhibition will be held in Kyiv, 8 Naberezhno-Luhova Street, Third Floor.
