The Selector Pro

On December 8-9, 2017, IZOLYATSIA in collaboration with the British Council Ukraine presents the second Selector Pro music forum. The programme will include eight events involving British and Ukrainian speakers.

The first Selector Pro took place in two venues — Sentrum club and Istok studio. The forum was dedicated to music sales and distribution in the digital age, with guests and participants such as British artist Ghostpoet, sound producer Ken Nelson, expert on digital distribution Kameil Sattar, Ukrainian artists ONUKA, The Maneken and others.

The new edition of Selector Pro presents a brand new programme. British Council:
Exceeding the limits of perception is the key task for any contemporary artist. Today we see more and more interesting experiments at the intersection of several types of art. The second Selector Pro forum addresses similar acts in the music field: audiovisual performances, visual innovations in music shows, music videos, soundtracks for videogames.

On December 8, in the Dovzhenko Centre, (vul. Vasylkivska 1) as part of Selector Live, British electronic musician Max Cooper will present his audiovisual show Emergence. He will also be part of two panels within Selector Pro.

This winter’s Selector Pro will take place at the IZONE Creative Community in Kyiv, vul. Naberezhno-Luhova 8.

Selector Pro has grown out of the British Council’s international radio programme — The Selector, which covers a 3 mln audience in 40 countries. Since 2015, The Selector has expanded to a series of concerts Selector Live, bringing artists such as Young Fathers, Everything Everything, Ray BLK, Benjamin Clementine to Kyiv. Since the summer of 2017 The Selector strand has grown with another addition — professional forum Selector Pro.
