Six Videos a Week

IZOLYATSIA in collaboration with Docudays UA International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival present a collection of short films and videos Six Videos a Week. Every week, selected films from the festival’s national competition of previous years, grouped in thematic series, are being shown in the IZONE Creative Community’s exhibition space. 

Since 2003, Docudays UA has been introducing the best documentary films from around the globe to Ukrainian audience. Whereas IZOLYATSIA’s main focus is on visual art, the institution recognises the potential of the contemporary art genre known as the moving image that includes video art, experimental feature and short films made by artists as well as documentary cinema. In the recent decades, more and more museums and galleries have opened their white cube spaces to the film industry, while many contemporary artists have appropriated methods and devices of the film. Such interdisciplinary exchange thus seems beneficial to both fields.
