The Heritage: Space for Work program aimed to assist communities in identifying and/or rethinking existing local cultural resources, including museum collections, memorial and cultural sites, active or potential tourist attractions, heritage objects, and more. The program also provided methodological tools for creating cultural products and educational programs, interpreting heritage, and engaging with local communities and diverse audiences while addressing the challenges of war.
The educational component of the program is now available to the general public as an online course on the platform prometheus.org.ua.
The program involved 30 organizations from Odesa, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions, including organizations displaced from these areas. Fourteen of the 29 organizations received sub-grants of up to 500,000 UAH from the Fund to implement their projects, which were carried out with mentorship support from consortium members. The mentoring organizations also implemented their own projects during the program.
The capacity building and networking program for local cultural operators Heritage: Space for Work is supported by the Partnership Fund for a Resilient Ukraine (PFRU), funded by the governments of Canada, Finland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States of America and the United States of America.
