ZMINA:Resilience Seed funding grantees
The final list of grantees of the ZMINA:Resilience project in the Call for International Cooperation Seed funding has been finalised. The IZOLYATSIA Foundation congratulates the 15 winning organisations that received the highest scores from independent evaluators and met the mandatory conditions required before signing the agreement.

Project Name: Frame Drum Flow: Digital School of Resilience Through Rhythm
Project Description: The project aims to create an online school for frame drum instruction, combining live courses from Ukrainian and international frame drum professionals, translated into Ukrainian, and a library of educational materials. The initiative is designed to make professional training accessible to Ukrainians in wartime conditions, support their resilience through rhythm, and integrate the Ukrainian community into the European cultural context.

Project Name: Archive of Resilience: The History of the Ukrainian-Swedish Alliance of 1709 in the Words of Eyewitnesses (Based on Historical Sources)
Project Description: Development of an international project to create a virtual museum (creative industries sphere) and physical exhibition on the territory of the Memorial of Cossack Glory in the village of Zhuky, State Historical and Cultural Reserve "Field of the Battle of Poltava", villages of Zhuky, Takhtaulove, and adjacent territories where battles between the allied Swedish-Ukrainian army and Moscow troops took place during April-June 1709. Project goal: presentation of the era of Ukrainian Hetman Ivan Mazepa on the eve of and during the Battle of Poltava through the prism of historical sources.

Project Description: International film residency for young debut directors. Focus: France. 10 participants from both countries unite in international teams for intensive work on their own projects with Ukrainian and French tutors. Instead of theory – practical story development: from idea to finished screenplay and pitch package. Participants learn to tell stories, structure narratives, and present their ideas. Finale – pitching before a panel of international and national producers looking for new voices and projects.

Project Name: Along the Routes of European Proto-Cities
Project Description: Creation of an international cultural route "Along the Routes of European Proto-Cities" based on the cultural and historical heritage of the migration of peoples of the Cucuteni-Trypillia culture. Formation of sustainable partnerships that will facilitate the route's submission to the Council of Europe, development of small communities, creative industries, and digitalization. Shaping Ukraine's identity in the world, which emerged 7,000 years ago, as a people living in harmony with the Universe, farmers, opposed to wars, inclined toward equality and matriarchy.

Project Name: Rescue Topography / Rescue Topography Project Description: We plan to create an exhibition-educational product that will rethink the stories of rescuers – Ukrainians, Germans, Czechs, Poles – who, despite risks to their lives, did not lose their dignity and saved Jews from death during the Nazi occupation of Volhynia. The central figure will be Hermann Gräbe – a German engineer who, having witnessed mass executions, protected Jews by employing them and providing shelter. Gräbe was the only German who testified about Nazi crimes at the Nuremberg trials.

Project Name: Virtuality of Forgotten Ancestors: Immersive Journey to Prehistoric Ukraine
Project Description: Ukraine has unique ancient heritage that is part of European culture, but the world still knows almost nothing about its scale: our archaeology has been presented through an imperial lens for decades, so foreigners still sometimes perceive us as a "post-Soviet relic." There are almost no popular VR formats about Ukrainian history. The project aims to transform a local VR quest for global integration, create a strategy for entering the international space, and make Ukrainian cultural heritage visible to Europe.

The expertise gained will help us find the best model, build sustainable international connections, and ensure the presence of Ukrainian dramaturgy in the European cultural space.

The project works with resilience through creating safe spaces, international support, and psychological resilience through creativity. Project Description: The project focuses on increasing media literacy and digital resilience in rural and small communities of Greece, Ukraine, Bulgaria, and Serbia. Its foundation is the creation of a network of media literacy ambassadors who, after training, work in communities during residencies, launch local media literacy clubs, and form long-term hubs of critical thinking and countering disinformation.
