Brazilian artist Marcelo Moscheta visited IZOLYATSIA.
Like all IZOLYATSIA guests, he became acquainted with the city, IZOLYATSIA territory, projects and the team, but showed his special interest to the history of the industrial production in the 1950th and minerals that have been used for the production of mineral wool and basalt fiber in the warehouses of the old plant.
It's not surprising - in his artistic practices Marcelo Moscheta widely uses minerals in logical conjunction with geographic information. He sees geographic maps like the planet drawn, traced and scanned, believes that they could serve as representational systems of the existing relationships in the universe, the translation in plain form what we feel around us.
An ordinary GPS-tracker becomes an artistic tool, while the artist focuses on measure himself compared to the landscape on the scale of things.
