Artist talk by choreographer and director Claudia Bosse (Germany)

On December 2, at 7 PM, IZOLYATSIA presents the artist talk by Claudia Bosse. Claudia is German film director, choreographer and artistic director of the theatercombinat. She presented her works at festivals, theatres, museums and in urban spaces of Zagreb, Prague, Geneva, Berlin, New York, Cairo, Athens, Beirut, Vienna and other cities. She has diversified approaches to performance and theatre, incorporating spatial choreographies, hybrid theatre works in open-plan spaces, choral speech choreographies, theatre projects involving various segments of the public, as well as installations and urban interventions.

At the artist talk, Claudia will share her artistic practice, which is characterized by a special love for the open spaces of cities and their intimate places. The projects she embodied in various countries have grown with the needs of new scenes and direct interaction, and later turned into a methodology of work with themes related to urban and bodily practices.

Claudia will also present the project Perfect Paradise. Ukraine, which is a continuation of a series of works dedicated to the performative study of public space and the ways it is used. The project will be implemented in cooperation with Ukrainian partners – Urban Curators agency and artist Victoria Myronyuk – and the participation of Ukrainian performers and activists in May 2017 in several locations of Kyiv.
