Using visual and auditory analogies and metaphors, the project uncovers the nuances and distinctions between desired and unwanted, personal and collective, voluntary and forced forgetting.

Oleksandra Klod

Project: “Ripples on Water”

Oleksandra Klod is an interdisciplinary artist, psychologist, and researcher who works with photography, video, and installations. In her practice, she explores emotions, memory, and borders in postcolonial societies. The project "Ripples on Water" is a series of participatory photo workshops for internally displaced women in Kamianske, culminating in a photo exhibition and the creation of a photobook.

Participants will take part in photographic exercises exploring themes of emotions, identity, origins, and memory. Work with family albums will also be conducted. Additionally, to expand the historical context, archival and documentary photographs from enterprises in the participants' hometowns, where they or their families once worked, will be incorporated.

Roksolana Dudka

Project: "Reflections"

Roksolana Dudka is a multidisciplinary artist, Doctor of Philosophy in Design, PhD in Art Studies, and Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture and Design at Lutsk National Technical University. She works with painting and ceramics (small-scale sculpture), creates installations and projects in public spaces, VR/AR and VIDEO ART, and practices participatory art practices and curatorial work.

The project "Reflections" is an immersive digital experience (VR space) in the format of a walk through a city filled with digitized memory objects. These objects are created from air-dry clay during creative workshops together with people for whom this city is part of their personal history, and are supplemented with materials from personal and official archives.

The project offers an opportunity to "return" to the city in a safe way – through memory, image, meaning, and collective reconstruction, where private memories come together into a shared space.
