Exhibition Culture and Conflict opened in Berlin
On January 18, 2016 IZOLYATSIA opened an informational exhibition Culture and Conflict: IZOLYATSIA in exile at the headquarters of the Heinrich Böll Foundation (Berlin, Germany).
Ms. Lubov Mikhailova, Founder of IZOLYATSIA, Ralph Füks, Chairman of the Heinrich Böll Foundation, and Serhii Zakharov, artist from Donetsk, Ukraine, participated in the opening of the exhibition and discussion on the role of culture in the conflict. The event was attended by representatives of the Ukrainian Embassy in Germany, artists, curators and public figures from Ukraine, Germany, Belarus and Russia, and Ukrainian community of Berlin.
The exhibition is an informational event, combining documentary materials, which represent different views on the events in the East of Ukraine and artistic reflection on the theme of Russian occupation of Donbas and the creation of the so-called "republics".
Exhibition Culture and Conflict: IZOLYATSIA in Exile is supported by the German Consulate General in Dnipropetrovsk and is financed by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany as part of the Programme Development of the Cooperation with the civil society in Eastern Partnership Countries.
