Culture and Conflict: IZOLYATSIA in Exile (Prague)

On June, 11, 2015 IZOLYATSIA foundation (Donetsk, Ukraine) opens its information exhibition at DOX — Centre for Contemporary Art (Prague, Czech Republic). The programme explores the subject of conflict in eastern Ukraine and the position of culture under war conditions. The exhibition will be on view until 20 July 2015.

The exhibition features video interviews with civilians, who were held by the «DPR» at the IZOLYATSIA site, with young people from Donetsk and video interviews with the militant camp commander and other militiamen of the unrecognised republic.

The project also features information materials about IZOLYATSIA activities and a recent work by Donetsk artist Serhii Zakharov — The House of Cards installation. 
Culture and Conflict: IZOLYATSIA in Exile was shown in December, 2014 in Palais de Tokyo (Paris, France).

DOX is the largest private centre in the Czech Republic focused on the presentation of contemporary art, architecture & design. The institution was established 2008 on a territory of former sheet metal factory.
